How to Apply
For a perfect seal, follow these simple steps:
- Clean: Ensure both male and female threads are clean and free of dirt, oil, or old sealant.
- Wrap: Starting from the second thread from the end, wrap the tape around the male thread in the same direction the fitting will be tightened (usually clockwise).
- Overlap: Overlap the tape by about half its width on each wrap to ensure complete coverage.
- Tension: Keep the tape under slight tension as you wrap for a snug fit.
- Assemble: Apply 3-5 wraps for standard applications. Once wrapped, screw the joint together and tighten with a wrench. Do not back-off once tightened.
